Bushiri blames govt over daughter’s death

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri of Enlighten Christian Gathering (ECG) Church has accused the Tonse Alliance government of Dr. Lazarus Chakwera of having a hand in the death of his daughter, Israella.

Bushiri’s daughter died today while receiving treatment in Kenya.

Announcing the death of his daughter, Bushiri said: “When I spoke to the Doctor, he highlighted that if she had not been blocked at the airport the first time she needed to travel to Kenya for medical assistance, she wouldn’t have passed on.

“It is very disheartening and sad, therefore, that my daughter has become a victim of the persecutions that we are facing from South Africa.”

In February this year, the Malawi Police Service blocked Bushiri’s daughter from leaving the country for Kenya.

As this was not enough, the law enforcers invaded the house of Bushiri hunting for him over his extradition case.

Bushiri’s daughter was later allowed after the intervention of Minister of Homeland Security Richard Chimwendo Banda.
