Joseph Njoka Netted For Giving Handouts After Campaign Period Closure

Police in Ntchisi on Monday night Joseph Njoka for allegedly giving out handouts outside the official campaign period ahead of Parliamentary by elections in the district.

Njoka is a personal assistance to independent candidate Maurice Mmbang’ombe one of the parliamentary aspirants.

He (Njoka) confirmed of the development.

He said he was arrested at Malomo Trading Centre and he was later taken to Ntchisi Boma where he was released on Tuesday morning without charges.

Ntchisi Police spokesperson, Richard Kaponda, was not immediately available for comment.
