Mulanje district is said to have registered seven Covid -19 positive cases after spending close to one month without registering any Covid -19 positive case.
District Medical Officer, Dr Lloyd Njikho said this calls for continued adherence to Covid -19 prevention measures.
Njikho disclosed this on Monday when surveyors Institute of Malawi made a two million donation worth of Covid -19 personal protective equipment and other medical supplies to Mulanje District Hospital.
â€˜â€™We still need more PPEs and other medical supplies as you know most of them are usable,â€™â€™ said Njikho.
Meanwhile President of the Institute Alick Chirwa said surveyors interact with different people in their work and as such they are also a risk society to Covid â€“19 hence their support towards the fight against the pandemic.
The donated items included disposable face masks, aprons, and oxygen regulators.
