MPs IN THREE WEEKS TRAINING

Speaker of the National Assembly Catherine Gotani Hara has officially opened training in Lilongwe to impart drill members of Parliament on the operations of the National Assembly.
The training, which is expected to run for three weeks will orient MPs on Parliament and Communication structures, laws and duties of Parliament, code and ethics of Parliament among others.
According to Hara, this is the second cohort and it will be attended by 55 parliamentarians.
Speaking during the event, Clerk of Parliament Fiona Kalemba acknowledged that Covid-19 has slowed the operations of the National Assembly.
