Phalombe Chiefs joins fight against Gender Based Violence

Traditional Authority  T/A Nyezelera of Phalombe has challenged men in the district to report perpetrators of Gender Based  Violence [GBV] to relevant authorities.

Nyezerera argues that a lot of Men suffer gender based violence in silence for fear of being viewed as weak

Nyezelera said this today at a community awareness meeting on gender based violence in Machemba ward in the area of Traditional Authority Nyezelera.

Ward councilor for the area , Esther  Lambulira has since called for respect among men and women to curb gender based violence.

With support from UN Women, councilor organized  the awareness campaign meeting on gender based violence.
