Kenya: 40-year-old woman disappears while family members asleep, leaves behind will

A family in Kenya is living in anxiety after their female kin aged 40 years old left a will and disappeared mysteriously on the night of April 22, 2021, local publication The Citizen reports.

Vincent Otieno, the Area Assistant Chief for Sagenya village in Migori County where the incident occurred said the woman identified as Jane Auma left the house when other family members were asleep and never returned.

Mr. Otieno said the family has been searching for the woman in vain, adding that they found a will she wrote before she disappeared.

The woman, in the note, indicated that the family should look for her in a neighboring sorghum plantation.

The administrator said they have so far searched for her in the said plantation but that they are yet to locate her.

He said they are yet to established why the woman disappeared, however, that preliminary investigation shows she had wrangles with her husband.
