DPP Councillor for Chinguni Ward joins MCP

Democratic Progressive Party Councillor for Chinguni ward of Machinga Likwenu Constituency, Davie Weja has resigned from the party and joined the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).

Weja announced the defection on Monday citing development projects outlined in the country.

MCP Eastern Region Chairman, Samson Kawalazira, who welcomed Meja to the party at Machinga boma.

Kawalazira said this signifies that the party is growing each day and that people have confidence in the Tonse alliance led government.
