SULOM FINES BULLETS, NOMADS OVER PREMATURE ENDED BLANTYRE DERBY

Super League of Malawi (SULOM) has fined Mighty Wanderers and Nyasa Big Bullets for the misconduct of their fans, which led to disruption of the Blantyre derby early this month.

The Nomads have been ordered to pay a K1.6 million fine whereas Bullets have been fined K500, 000.

A letter which FaceofMalawi has seen signed by Sulom General Secretary Williams Banda, reveals that K1.5 million is for disruption of the proceedings of the match whereas the club (Wanderers) has been charged K102, 000 for their involvement in stopping the game for 34 minutes.

According to Banda, any team that causes disruption of a match is charged K3000 per minute.

In addition, Stanley Sanudi has been suspended for two consecutive matches.

The match ended prematurely 1–1 in the 82nd minute.
