Kasungu National Park Settlers Asked To Vacate The Land By June 30

Encroachers of Kasungu National Park in the area of Chief Chisinga in Kasungu have up to June 30,2021 to vacate the land or face forceful evacuation from the 100 hectare piece of land they allegedly encroached.

Division Manager for Kasungu National park, Timothy Maseko Chana has confirmed the development.

Maseko said that  the Kasungu Magistrate court gave the settlers a year to vacate the encroached after six of the settlers were convicted of the same offence.

But one of the convicts, Josophat Mwale has asked government to rescind the decision saying most of the settlers have no  where to go having settled on the land for over twenty years.
