Police have launched a manhunt for assailants suspected to have murdered a man within the age range of 35 to 40 in Kasungu.
Assistant Police publicist for Kasungu, Miracle Mkozi has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Mkozi, the incident was reported on May 30, 2021 near Chimbwazi Estate at Muhone Village, in the area of Sub Traditional Authority Mphomwa in the district.
She said on the day, well wishers informed Police that there was a dead body of a man lying in the bush a few metres away from the Kasungu M1 road.
According to Mkozi, the deceased, who was medium in height and brown in complexion, was found with multiple wounds all over and fire burns on the mouth.
Postmortem conducted by Kasungu District Hospital revealed that death was due to internal bleeding as a result of possible assault by a blunt object.
