Kaliati Warns Against Rape

Minister of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare, Patricia Kaliati has warned men with a tendency of raping and leaving imbecile women with children that they will either be forced to marry the women or risk being arrested.

She said this Yesterday in Dowa when she visited a vulnerable woman whose children have stunted growth at Kasolo village in the area of Traditional authority Kayembe.

Meanwhile, mother of the children Chosadziwa Makapu who is renting a dilapidated house at Kasolo trade centre has refused to have her children taken to a care centre fearing that she would lose them.

Member of Parliament for Dowa West Constituency Dr. Abel Kayembe has pleaded with chiefs around Kasolo to reason with the woman on the health status of her children and a possibility of taking the children to a care centre.
