17-year-old boy kills stepdad after quarrel with mother

A 17-year-old boy has killed his stepfather in Mombasa, Kenya after he picked a quarrel with his mother.

According to police report, the boy, who is a Form Two student at a local School, used two knives to stab the father severally on the stomach.

The victim was rushed to Mikindani Medical centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The incident was reported to the police by the boy’s mother.

She is being held by police to help with the investigations.

It is not yet clear what caused the quarrel between the boy’s mother and the stepdad but reports claim it was over infidelity.

Sources say the boy was fed up with step dad’s habit of beating his mother.

Neighbours say the boy’s mother and her husband have been having perennial fights despite several attempts by village elders to solve their issues.
