Mia touring Construction Of Houses For Security Institutions In Dowa

Deputy Minister of Lands, Abida Mia, is touring a housing construction site at Mvera Support Battalion in Dowa.

This falls under the Ministry’s project called Housing for Security Institutions in Malawi.

According to Mia, the project will cost about K20 billion and in the first phase, they are building 1,000 houses for Malawi Defense Force, Immigration Department, Prison Services and Malawi Police.

The project, which was launched in December 2020 now the project is in the progress.

The project is currently constructing about 400 houses for MDF and another 400 for Police while immigration and prison will have 100 houses each department.
