A 32-year-old married man in Zimbabwe was hospitalized after he got stabbed by his mistress’ brother for neglecting his sister.
Takunda Muteveri survived death by a whisker after his lover Erica Muchangani’s brother stabbed him.
Muteveri is alleged to have denied responsibility of impregnating his lover which forced Erica to invade his house accompanied by her brother Erick Muchangani (29).
He is currently battling for his life at West End Hospital.
Provincial police spokesperson Inspector Tendai Mwanza confirmed Muchangani’s arrest to a local tabloid saying;
“Police arrested Erick Muchangani of Kambuzuma Section 2 for stabbing her sister Erica Muchangani’s married lover Takunda Muteveri, 32, on the 27th of June 2021,” said Insp Mwanza.
According to the police report, Erick accused Muteveri of abandoning Erica’s pregnancy.
Erick was arrested and Muteveri was rushed to Sally Mugabe Central Hospital by his wife in a critical condition.
Muteveri was later taken to West End Hospital where he was operated on and is currently receiving treatment.
Speaking following Muchangani’s arrest, Inspector Mwanza urged members of the public to resolve their differences peacefully. He also urged people not to substitute peace with brutal force.
