‘Unable to conceive’, woman forced into pornography, object inserted in private parts by husband

India-In the latest case in the series of grim and shameful crimes against women, a man in Maharashtra’s Mumbai allegedly inserted a foreign object in his 29-year-old wife’s private parts and attempted to force her into pornography. The matter came to fore after the affected woman lodged a complaint with the Khar police in the Maharashtra capital, following which the accused, who is the son of a prominent hotelier, was arrested on relevant charges.

As per reports, the 29-year-old complainant, who is a physiotherapist, tied the knot with the accused in 2014. The couple had no children. The complainant’s in-laws used to harass her for not bearing a child, but in fact, it was her husband who could not perform his conjugal responsibilities towards her, the complainant’s aunt told Mid-Day.

As per the details mentioned in the FIR, the accused, a porn addict, allegedly sexually abused her by inserting an object into her private parts. The torture she experienced at the hands of her husband is hard to imagine. She didn’t narrate her ordeal before anyone. This “encouraged” her husband to force her into “working as a porn star,” the complainant said.

“One night, the accused live-streamed her over a video call with an unknown man while she was sleeping. This is the trigger for the case. She confided to her sisters in June,” the woman’s aunt told Mid-Day.

The complainant’s family has decided to not send her back to her matrimonial house. When her mother conveyed this to her accused man’s father via a text message, he asked her severe marital ties with triple talaq, a practice that stands banned by law. The complainant’s mother stated that the accused man’s family members are not giving back her daughter’s documents, including the passport, and other belongings.

A police officer said the accused has been arrested, and the matter is being probed. His mobile phone was seized and sent for forensic examination. Relevant charges under the IT Act will be added in the FIR if the forensic examination confirms any such offences.
