President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera who is also the new Chairman of the Southern Africa Development (SADC) on Tuesday made a moving speech at the inauguration of Zambia’s 7th President Hakainde Hichilema at National Heroes Stadium in the capital Lusaka

What caught the attention of thousands of people including foreign dignitaries and Heads of State was the accent, forcing many Zambians to take the matter to the social media applauding Chakwera while mocking some Malawians.

Alice Lungu Kamono wrote: “Awe sure the accent went to a private school even the way he opens and lifts the mouth it’s English English.”

Concurring with Kamono’s remarks wrote: “David Chaplain Kashimu wrote: “The problem is that you focus too much about the accent and lose out in the heavy stuff he pulled out. The man is powerful. His words are so heavy.”

Another citizen identified as Cynthia Moonga wrote: “These are our friends who went to St Mary’s Queen of Peace when some of us where at Woodlands A primary school and Nkomba school. Chizungu che.”

Mukubesa Sitali wrote: “H E Chakwera is a born public speaker. He attracts natural attention. His use of gestures, intonation, flow, is all just flawless!! Leve.”
