Man arrested for stabbing a friend to death in Mzimba

Police in Mzimba have arrested 20 year old Gomezgani Moyo for allegedly stabbing to death a 21 year old man identified as Gift Mkandawire at Matekenya village in the area of Inkosi Chindi.

Mzimba deputy police spokesperson, John Nyirongo said the incident occurred on Tuesday as the two were coming from a drinking spree.

Nyirongo said while on their way home they picked a quarrel and ended up stabbing each other.

However, the victim was left lying on the road while the suspect who was stabbed in the chest went to a near by house and was rushed to Mzimba district hospital.
