Chilima pays tribute to MP Wezi Gondwe

State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima has expressed shock over the death of Independent Member of Parliament for for Mzimba East, Wezi Gondwe.

Gondwe died of liver complications at this morning in South Africa.
Writing on his official facebook page Chilima said that Gondwe’s death is big brawl to the nation.

“We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to lose a variant compatriot. Yet heaven gain a queen into its rank of Angels.

“Our prayers are to the family, His Excellency the President Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, members of Parliament and all Malawians as we come to terms with the pain and sorrow of the loss,” wrote Chilima.

On his part Deputy Speaker of Parliament Madalitso Kazombo said: “Go ye well Hon Wezi Gondwe, Mzimba East. You nominated me to be the Deputy Speaker amidst all odds. You came on an Independent Member of Parliament ticket.”

Meanwhile it is not known as to when Gondwe’s body will arrive in the country.
