MISA Malawi Mourns MUBAS Lecturer Abel Mwanyungwe

Malawi Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Malawi Chapter has expressed shock over the untimely death of Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) lecturer Abel Mwanyungwe.

Mwanyungwe, who once worked as a Business News Editor for Nation Publications Limited (NPL) died on Thursday morning at Blantyre Adventist Hospital.

“Our condolences go to the Mwanyungwe family, his colleagues at MUBAS and the media fraternity,” reads in part the statement signed by MISA Malawi Chairperson Teresa Temweka Ndaga.

He also worked as Business Editor for Blantyre Newspapers Limited (now Times Group) where he mentored many journalists in Business Reporting.

Until his death, Mwanyungwe was a Media Economics and Statistics lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at MUBAS.
