Minister of Lands Meet Malawi House Corporation Striking Staff

Minister of Lands Kezzie Msukwa and his deputy Abida Mia are this afternoon visiting Malawi Housing Corporation (MHC) headquarters in Blantyre to address concerns of striking employees.

The workers embarked on a nationwide strike to force the board and management to address their pension and salary structure issues, among others.

The two are currently locked in a closed door meeting with MHC management, some members of the board as well as representatives of the MHC Concession Workers’ Union.

The aggrieved workers wrote management and board to address their issues by September 30.
