Mpinganjira to Appeal Conviction, Sentencing

Lawyer for jailed business mogul Thom Mpinganjira has said they will appeal both his Conviction and sentencing.

Council Patrice Nkhono said this to the media today after High Court judge Dorothy De Gabrielle delivered her judgment.

Mpinganjira was arrested and convicted of attempting to bribe judges who were presiding over the presidential elections case.

For the next nine years, Mpinganjira is expected to spend his life behind bars according to judge de Gabrielle.

He has since been taken to Chichiri prison.
