Mzuzu University closed over unpaid city rates amounting to MK20 million

Mzuzu City Council (MCC) has closed Mzuzu University (Mzuni) main Campus for non-payment of city rates.

Mzuni Assistant Registrar (Public Relations), Clifton Kawanga confirmed the development, saying it has “come as a surprise”.

The institution is owing MCC about K20 million.

Apparently, only security personnel is allowed to get on the campus.
