Five-Time World’s Strongest Man Knocks Out Undefeated MMA Opponent In Just 18 Seconds

Five-time World’s Strongest Man winner Mariusz Pudzianowski managed to knock out his 23-stone opponent dubbed ‘Bombardier’ in just 18 seconds at their super heavyweight MMA fight yesterday.

Pudzianowski – who won the coveted strongman title in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2008 – went up against unbeaten Serigne Ousmane Dia last night in Lodz, Poland.

Despite weighing four-and-a-half stone less than his rival, 44-year-old Pudzianowski managed to bring the clash to a close in less than 20 seconds.

Pudzianowski began the fight, which was the co-main event of KSW 64, with leg kicks to his rival, before finishing just seconds later with a clean right hook.

After being knocked out, Ousmane Dia could be seen lying on the floor as the Polish victor celebrated.

The pair were originally due to meet back in March for KSW 59, but Ousmane Dia was hospitalised with appendicitis just before the event kicked off.

He was replaced by Nikola Milanovic, who Pudzianowski beat by first-round TKO.

Senegalese star Ousmane Dia, 45, has earned himself the nickname of ‘Bombardier’, having not lost a fight in his career to date – until now, of course.

A relatively new name to the scene, he has only competed in three professional MMA bouts to date.

His rival, meanwhile, now has 11 knockouts to his name, and has vowed there are plenty more to come.

According to Polish news site WP, after the fight Pudzianowski praised Ousmane Dia.
