The Anti-Corruption Bureau ACB has arrested Rabson Issa and Madalitso Muyakha, who worked as Clinical Technician and Pharmacist respectively at Salima District Hospital for continuing to receive their salaries after they resigned from their posts.
Issa and Muyakha resigned in 2018 but continued receiving salaries up to May 2019.
The arrest of the two brings the total number of those nabbed in connection with this fraud to seven.
The other five were arrested in September 2021.
Principal Public Relations Officer for ACB, Egrita Ndala, in a statement on Tuesday, said the two have been released on bail but will appear in Court on November 10, 2021, for commencement of trial.
