Suspect re-arrested after escaping from police cell

One of the eight suspects who escaped lawful custody at Bua Police unit in Kasungu has been arrested.

District Police spokesperson Sub Inspector, Joseph Kachikho has confirmed this morning saying a man hunt for seven others is still underway.

The apprehended suspect is a 17 year old theft suspect from Kalimba village in the area of Chief Mlumbe in Zomba District.

A total of eight suspects escaped from Bua police unit after breaking a cell door.
