Musician Zani Challe denies dressing Actress Hannah Sukali

South African based Malawian musician-cum-model Zani Challe has distanced herself from claims that she dressed one of the Malawi’s youthful promising actresses Hannah Sukali.

On Sunday, Sukali attended at the 17th Africa Movie Academy Awards – AMAA in Nigeria after being nominated on the post of best young promising actress.

Sukali was outclassed in the category by Zimbabwe’s wilmah munemera who emerged as best young promising actor during the award ceremony.

Despite the loss many Malawians questioned the dressing of the actress, with many accusing Zani Challe of being behind it.

But ‘Chiphadzuwa cha Malawi’ hit maker distanced herself from the accusations.

“I had nothing to do with it”, wrote Challe.

Meanwhile, Fatsani team has backed the dressing of the actress.

“We would like to accept different views regarding the outfit Hannah Sukali wore at the awards night. We promise the general public that we will look into the views and do better next time.” reads in part the statement.

The Africa movie academy winners are selected by a panel of judges, and it does not include public voting, the judgment is based on performance.
