Concerned MCP members pen Chakwera, demands immediate firing of Zanga-zanga Chikhosi

Some concerned Malawi Congress Party (MCP) members have once again penned President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera demanding immediate firing of Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet (OPC) Zanga-zanga Chikhosi.

The disgruntled members also demand the firing State House Director of Communications Sean Kampondeni and State House Chief of Staff Prince Kapondamgaga.

“True to our fears, you have seen yourself sir how some of those you surrounded yourself with have entangled in dubious deals and shameful ways leading to their subsequent dismissals by yourself. This seed is not of MCP,” reads part of the letter.

Spokesperson of the grouping, Alex Major has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

Major said the grouping also demands an explanation from the President as to why he is delaying to call for a National Executive Committee meeting.

Effort to talk to MCP spokesperson Maurice Munthali on the matter proved futile.
