This comes after South African medical doctors discovered a new variant of the deadly. (Omicron variant)According to The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) seven provinces; Eastern Cape, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, the North West and the Western Cape are already indicating sustained increases in Covid-19 infections. взять машину в кредит

“The proportion testing positive in Gauteng has risen dramatically in the last two weeks, this may be a sign of the start of a widespread resurgence. It’s important to note that provinces will experience the beginning and end of the waves at different weeks,” the institute noted.

In line with the latest NICD report, South Africa’s Covid-19 cases increased by over 4000 to 8561.

The province of Gauteng recorded the highest number of new cases, contributing to 72% of yesterday’s new infections across South Africa.

NICD said taking measures to reduce the spread of infection, including getting a Covid-19 vaccine, is the best way to slow the spread of infection.

“Keep careful watch of these common symptoms; cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, and loss of sense of smell or taste. Even with no symptoms, you can spread the virus. Protect others from getting sick and be part of helping to prevent coronavirus transmission. Don’t let your guard down,” noted NCID.
