Winiko wants to meet Chakwera

Former United Transformation Movement (UTM) National Youth Director Bon Kalindo is planning to meet President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera on rising costs of living in the country.

Kalindo revealed this after successfully holding peaceful protest in the Northern district of Mzuzu.

The comedian claimed that the meeting between him and Cabinet Ministers failed to yield tangible results due to the government’s lack of compromise on matters under discussion.

State House has declined to comment but earlier, Information Minister Gospel Kazako said he did not understand why the Kalindo-led-protests were continuing after government’s willingness to engage the organizers.

Meanwhile, it is yet to be seen if President Chakwera grant Winiko an audience on the matter.
