Police in Thyolo have launched a man-hunt for people who set on fire Antoni Mbunju, 32, on suspicion he broke into a house and stole items.
Accoding to South-East police publicist, Rodrick Maida, the incident happened on December 12, 2021 at Chimbeta Village in Traditional Authority Khwethemule in Thyolo.
Maida said Mbunju and his alleged accomplice Gomile Kumtumanji, also 32, broke into and stole an inverter, cellphone and laptop bag.
He added that on their way to Mtambanyama police unit, the mob set Mbunju on fire.
Meanwhile, police have asked everyone who has information on whereabouts of killers to help them in tracing murders.
