JCE exams out

The Malawi National Examination Board (MANEB) has released results of the Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) examinations.

MANEB Executive Director Dorothy Nampota announced the results during a media briefing presided over by Minister of Education Agnes Nyalonje.

According to MANEB, about 98 thousand learners have passed out of 129 thousand learners who sat for JCE.

This means 76 percent of learners have passed.

Meanwhile, results for ten learners have been withheld for contravening MANEB regulations.

According to Nampota, the highest performing districts are Phalombe, Zomba , Mzuzu City and Ntchisi in that order.

While Ntcheu, Chikwawa and Nsanje are the lowest performing districts in the JCE pass rate.
