Atupele calls for Chakwera’s resignation

United Democratic front (UDF) President Atupele Muluzi has called for the immediate resignation of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his Vice Dr. Saulos Chilima for failing to fulfill some the campaign promises.

Muluzi, who partnered with former President Peter Mutharika in the Fresh Presidential Election said this on Sunday during a mega rally organized by UDF) and Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) at Njamba freedom park.

In his speech Muluzi said the current regime “must go” as they are failing their roles in uplifting the welfare of Malawians.

“Mr President i know you are a good man but you have not kept your promises. You have broken your promise. Our people are not asking for too much. They just want you to fulfill the promises you made,” he said.

Muluzi said Malawians are helpless and have no where to go; hence, the government is not helping but instead threatening Malawians that they will be arrested.

He further said Malawians elected a leader with no experience in running government. He said the leader that Malawi has is full of hatred and is busy trying to silence the opposition.

Meanwhile government is yet to respond to the calls.
