Councilor Davie Maunde elected as Zomba Mayor

Councilor Davie Maunde of the United Democratic Front (UDF) has been elected as the new Mayor for Zomba City.

Maunde replaces Benson Bula of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) who has been on the posts for a period of 2 and half years.

He got five votes where as his strongest competitor, Christopher Jana, had four votes.

Former Mayor, Benson Bula, got two votes.
