Chief Resident Magistrate Patrick Chirwa has denied granting court bail to Zuneth Abdul Sattar’s business associate, Ashok Nair.
According to Chirwa, the suspect has no well established residence in Malawi.
Nair is suspected to have been giving bribes to politicians in exchange of some business contracts to companies belonging to Sattar.
This is a matter in which Minister of Lands Kezzie Msukwa, is implicated.
He has applied for court bail, through one of his lawyers, Wapona Kita.
Kita told the court that his client, is ready to adhere to all bail conditions.
