Dzimadzi’s assault case underway in Ntcheu

Trial for Vincent Dzimadzi has commenced with State Prosecutor, Prescott Mwayiulipo saying they are ready with five witnesses to testify against the accused today.

However, lawyer for the accused, Fostino Maere has objected to the witnesses claiming they are illegal immigrants.

He alleges that the state witnesses, who are from Mozambique have entered the country without proper documentation, to which the state has admitted.

He then requested the court to adjourn the case for some minutes to allow the state process all necessary documents before continuing with the trial.

The State has agreed with the request and Senior Resident Magistrate Joshua Nkhono adjourned the case for few minutes.
