UTM Reacts To Yonamu’s Resignation From The Party

UTM Secretary General, Patricia Kaliati says, the party is not utterly concerned nor shaken with the resignation of its Director of Research for Blantyre urban District, Sydney Justice Yonamu.

Yonamu whose resignation letter has found its way to social media, warning the party’s leadership that, it has lost popularity and direction for its unfulfilled campaign promises under the Tonse Alliance government and this will be vindicated in the next poll.

Yonamu has declared, he will now be joining the Bon Kalindo cause, aligning with the “suffering Malawians”

But, in an interview this morning Kaliati brands the resignation as an expression of democratic values and that UTM is still receiving new membership in all party structures.

She adds, President Lazarus Chakwera cannot fulfill all campaign promises at once.
