Zim Prophet Caught ‘Planting’ Snake During Goblin Cleansing Ceremony, Receives Thorough Bashing

A self-professed apostolic sect prophet is nursing his wounds after being thoroughly bashed when he was caught trying to plant a snake at a house where he was supposed to be conducting a goblin cleaning ceremony.

Madzibaba Mose from Dzivarasekwa’s luck ran out in Chinhoyi on Saturday when his clients caught him red-handed during the cleansing ceremony. Unsurprisingly, the clients Madzibaba Mose had tried to con were not amused with his antics and gave him a thorough bashing.

Local tabloid H-Metro quotes a source as saying,

“They went to Chinhoyi with the intention to perform a cleansing ceremony at a certain house.

“It is alleged that they had their snake, but I don’t know how they were apprehended.

“He stays in DZ, and he calls himself Madzibaba; he normally goes kuMasowe, and they have been doing this as a team of three.

“So there was another Madzibaba at the same house who exposed them.”

Another source told the publication,

“They have done it to many houses, and on this day, they were exposed and got beaten.”

When reached for comment, Madzibaba Mose refused to comment on the issue. However, he was recorded on video confessing to his shenanigans after being caught redhanded trying to plant the snakes. In the video, the self-styled prophet can be heard saying in part,

“Things are not well with me, but my team said vanobata zvinhu pamweya Kuti tiwanewo, Mari, I am pleading to come and confess at the shrine.

“We have done it at five houses with other guys.

“I did with another guy called Efinage who has since gone to South Africa over these issues.”

Just last week, a man from Dema, Seke District, Mashonaland East Province was sentenced to three months in prison for trying to sell snakes.  Hebert Gorimbo (38), was found guilty of violating the Parks and Wildlife Act after being found in possession of a cobra and a green mamba.
