Well-known social commentator and member of the United Transformation Movement (UTM) Joshua Chisa Mbele will appear before the Lilongwe Magistrate Court in Area 3.
Mbele was arrested on Tuesday for defamation after posting a fake list of people suspected of being involved in corruption.
Onjezani Kenani, Mbele’s friend has confirmed of the development in a statement posted on his official facebook page.
“My friend, Joshua Chisa Mbele , will be taken to the Lilongwe Magistrate Court in Area 3 this afternoon, between 1 and 3 p.m., where he will be charged and will also apply for bail. Azimayi, sendelerani pafupi, tiyeni tipite ku Lilongwe Magistrate Court tikawapatse support a Yoshua, Mneneri wa Mulungu. Osafera nsapato ya point.
