Court Orders Judicial Review On Msukwa’s Pending Arrest

High Court Judge Simeon Mdeza has this evening ordered judicial review on the arrest of Minister of Lands Kezzie Msukwa.

Msukwa was asking the court for a permission to review Anti-Corruption Bureaus’ decision to arrest him.

He wants the court to establish whether it was right or wrong for ACB to effect an arrest on him.

The Judge has further ordered the release of Ashok Nair who was arrested on the corruption charges in which Msukwa is also implicated.

This means Minister Msukwa will not be arrested until the matter is review.

Other consequential orders granted by the court include stay of criminal proceedings and release of second claimant, Ashok Nair.
