Mangochi Senior Resident Magistrate’s Court has convicted and sentenced Daudi Mustafa, 34, to 14-years imprisonment with hard labour for robbing an lndian businessman a sum of 3 million Kwacha contrary to section 301 of the Penal Code.
The court through State Prosecutor, lnspector Amos Mwase heard that, Mustafa was previously convicted of a similar offence.
Appearing in court, the convict pleaded not guilty to the charge and the state paraded five witnesses who proved the case beyond reasonable doubt.
Daudi Mustafa hails from Ngongondo Village, Traditional Authority Liwonde in Machinga.
