People of Matiya Ward in Zomba Chisi Constituency do not know the whereabouts of their councillor, Brazio Chinthenga, who has not been seen in the area for close to seven months now.
According to Group Village headman Chaweza in the area of Traditional Authority Mwambo in the district, Chinthenga was last seen in the area in June last year.
He said as a matter of follow up, the community had complained to the district council and they had been directed to the Office of President and Cabinet.
When contacted, Member of Parliament (MP) for Zomba Chisi, Mark Botoman, said as Parliamentarian for the area, he was the one who first raised the issue with traditional leaders.
“The chiefs have since raised the complaint with the DC and we are waiting for direction from the Council,” Botoman said.
Chinthenga’s line could not be reached after Times attempted to call him for several times.
