Man arrested for killing his wife in Dowa

Police at Mponela in Dowa District, have arrested a man (name withheld) on suspicion that he murdered his wife.

Mponela Police Publicist MacPatson Msadala, has confirmed of the incident which occurred during the night of January 30, 2022 at Chinguwo Village in the district.

Investigations indicate that both the suspect and the deceased had rented a house in the village the same night.

According to Msadala, the following morning, owner of the house was surprised to see that the new tenants were not coming out.

He then made a follow-up and upon entering the house, he found out that things were scattered and that the woman was unconscious whilst in a pool of blood.

Currently, the dead body is at Ntchisi District Hospital mortuary pending identification by the relatives and postmortem.
