Legal Expert Bright Theu questions Mpinganjira’s bail

Legal expert, Bright Theu has described the granting of bail pending appeal to well-known business mogul Thom Mpinganjira as a very rare scenario.
He said this cannot stop one to speculate that such decisions are mostly made in favour of those with names.
Theu remembers that the last notable case was for the cashgate convict Ralph Kasambala.
He could not however be drawn to comment more; saying needs to appreciate the reasons for the granted bail.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has ruled out possibilities of appealing the case.
