Police in Chipata have arrested two suspects in connection to an unidentified man captured in a video raping a woman, while other people were helping him accomplish his mission.
Provincial Acting Police Commanding Officer, Davis Simwanza, says the alleged rapist is not among the arrested individuals, but those that committed other offences like circulating the pornographic material.
Mr. Simwanza says the two suspects are helping the police with investigations. He says more details will be availed once investigations are concluded.
A video has circulated on social media in which an unknown man is seen raping a woman in broad day light, while onlookers including women were cheering.
The incident allegedly happened two weeks ago at the Golf Course in Chipata.
