Man Arrested For Offering For Sell His 11-Year-Old Cousin In Thyolo

Police in Thyolo have arrested a 22-year-old man, Madalitso Wyson for allegedly offering for sale a 11-year-old boy.
Thyolo Police spokesperson, Amos Tione confirmed the development saying that on February 18, 2022 the suspect went to Chingazi Primary School within the area of Traditional Authority 9T/A) Khwethemule and took the victim out.
Tione said the suspect took the boy, who is his cousin and a Standard 2 learner, to one of the traditional doctors within Ntambanyama Trading Centre for sale.
However, Thyolo Police Publicist said the traditional doctor informed the community who reported the matter to police and the suspect was arrested for a child trafficking offence.
Wyson comes from Chawoneka village in Traditional Authority Khwethemule in Thyolo.
