Bushiri salutes Chakwera-Chilima relationship

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri of Enlighten Christian Gathering (ECG) church has saluted the stable relationship between President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his Vice Dr. Saulos Chilima.

In a statement posted on his official facebook Bushiri said the stable relationship between the two is creating a favourable condition for investment.

“President Chakwera’s healthy relationship with his Vice President, Right Honourable Dr Saulos Chilima, has brought political stability–a critical variable that any country needs to attract needed investments both local and international.

“This is why I am calling all rich people in the country to support the current regime with the needed investments to help create jobs and, also, support the needy. I believe, as a country, we need to have a pool of local donors that our government should always turn to, before going to international donors. We are all what we have,” said Bushiri in the statement.

He added: “I will always put this current government in prayer so that God continue to shower it with mercy and grace as it continues to serve the great nation of Malawi. Please join me in this noble exercise.”

Bushiri also saluted President Chakwera’s leadership style.

“It is imperative that those in power should always act in the interest of people and that is why, today, I want to register my profound delight in the current administration led by His Excellency President Lazarus Chakwera.

“Through his leadership, against all odds that COVID-19 exerted on the economy, President Chakwera has done so much to create systems that are functional and responsive to the needs of the people. His government has created confidence in the system that is bringing hope for the better,” said Bushiri.

He added: “He has demonstrated that he is a leader who understands that for a country to develop you need to put in place measures which different sectors need to contribute to progress of the nation.”
