Woman arrested for concealing birth in Phalombe

Police in Phalombe have arrested Suzeni Sakwata, 33, for concealing a birth.
Phalombe Police Spokesperson, Jimmy Kapanja, says that the suspect, a single mother of five stays at her mother’s compound at Maliro Village, Traditional Authority (TA) Jenala in Phalombe district has been denying that she was pregnant.
He adds on March 15, 2020, the suspect later confessed to her mother that she was indeed pregnant and had delivered a baby boy but she buried it behind her house.
