Memorial Service for the late President Bingu Wa Mutharika will take place on April 5, 2022 in Thyolo, his family confirmed.
In an invitation letter by the former President Peter Mutharika, the late Bingu’s brother, said the memorial service will take place at Chingazi Catholic Church in the district.
According to the letter, the memorial service will start off at 10:00 am in the morning before proceeding to Mpumulo Wa Bata for laying of wreath.
Mutharika has therefore invited all the members of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to attend the memorial service of their founder.
Bingu Wa Mutharika who served as Malawi president for 8 years, died in 2022 from cardiac arrest.
