SULOM to investigate fracas during Silver Strikers, Dedza Dynamos game

Super League of Malawi (SULOM) has said it will investigate violent incident that happened at Silver Stadium where home fans assaulted a player for the visiting Dedza Dynamos on Monday.

It is understood that Silver Strikers fans had planted a suspicious object at a goal for the visiting side. The Dedza player removed the object and threw it away which angered the home fans.

This happened during half time break when Silver Strikers were trailing by a goal to nill as the fans invaded the pitch, threw punches on the player as he run for his life.

Silver Strikers was banned from using home ground following a fracas that happened last year where Nyasa Big Bullets supporters were assault by the team supporters.

But the ban was reversed by FAM after an appeal.
