Angry villagers ransack Esperanza estate over death of a man

Some angry people in Mulanje have destroyed some part of Esperanza estate following the death of one Francis Malefula.

Police in Mulanje have confirmed of the matter in an interview with the press.

The people are suspecting security guards at the estate to have killed Malefula.

Malefula is said to have left his home on Sunday with a friend and eventually went missing.

His relatives started looking for him after reporting the matter to police.

Eventually, his body was found yesterday in Likhubula River near Esperanza estate water pumping point.

This did not go well with angry residents who started cutting down trees and destroying property at the estate.
